Prior to going to law school, Carolyn worked as a paralegal for a family law firm, where she gained a wealth of knowledge about client communication, the emotional toll legal matters have on families, and the requisite level of patience to practice family law. Carolyn graduated cum laude from University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law, where she was awarded the Edward T. Lee full-tuition scholarship. While in law school, Carolyn clerked for the Honorable Rosa M. Silva in the Domestic Relations Division in the Circuit Court of Cook County, where she observed hearings, drafted orders, and assisted self-represented litigants.
