Storytelling as a Means of Social Change - In-Person

When:  Dec 12, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM (MT)
Colorado Supreme Court Well-Being Recognition Program

“Without community, there is no liberation.” (Audre Lorde) Storytelling has long been understood as a means to communicate culture, share perspective, and understand the communities we live in, but its true power is in its ability to bridge difference, create meaning, and initiate change. As lawyers and changemakers, storytelling serves to both protect and preserve the humanity of those working in the name of justice, and of the legal system as a community. Join us for this interactive lunch and learn session, where we will explore storytelling as a means of personal and professional wellness, investigate our own positionality within oppressive systems, and develop a new understanding of both community and liberation.
