“YOU BE THE JUDGE” CLE PROGRAM

Description of the event:  In an effort to promote greater diversity on Colorado's state court and Denver County Court benches, CLI and CBA are co-sponsoring a CLE program about how to become a judge.  Featuring justices, judges, lay and attorney nominating commission members, Denver's City Attorney, and the Governor's Legal Counsel - as well as a closing plenary session with Representative Leslie Herod - this program provides you an opportunity to learn more about why you might want to consider applying to become a judge and how you can successfully navigate the application process.  After the CLE program, you are invited to join the speakers for a reception in the atrium at the Ralph Carr Judicial Center.

Cost:  $25;

Opening plenary session (2:00 - 2:30) (1D tiered classroom across from Justice Java)

Roundtables (2:35 - 4:45) (1A, 1B, 1C training rooms east of security station on office building side) (rotate every 20 minutes with 2 minutes between each session)

Closing plenary session (4:50 - 5:00) (1D tiered classroom across from Justice Java)

Reception (5:00 - 6:30) (atrium)
