"2022 Updates to Colorado Paid Leave”
An informative CLE reviewing recent updates to Colorado paid leave laws, particularly updated guidance from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment regarding paid vacation and the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, as well as the structures for compliance available to employers. The presentation will summarize key legal updates in regard to the amount of paid leave required, when unused leave needs to be paid upon separation from employment, and the current state of COVID-19 leave for Colorado employees. The presenters will share practical tips for drafting compliant policies and administering them in a manner consistent with Colorado law, as well as look ahead to future changes in this legal landscape with the new Colorado paid family and medical leave on the horizon for 2023 and 2024.
