In 2020, the Colorado Legislature enacted the Public Health Emergency Whistleblower (PHEW) Act, establishing new whistleblower and anti-retaliation protections for employees relating to workplace health and safety violations during a public health emergency. What is the status of PHEW, nearly two years after enactment? This presentation will provide an overview of PHEW and a discussion of claims proceeding under PHEW.
