Professor Isaac Lodico of the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program will address the final regulations under IRC § 1061, addressing the application of the carried interest rule, exceptions, and issues still under consideration by the Treasury. Topics include identification of Applicable Partnership Interests and Applicable Trades or Business, categories of income not subject to recharacterization, and planning considerations for advisors.
