Oil and Gas for Real Estate Attorneys: Issues Impacting Surface Use Agreements, SB19-181 and Local

Governor Polis recently signed a sweeping legislative bill to increase control by local governments as a relates to siting and permitting of oil and gas facilities. Ghislaine will discuss issues with respect to timing and terms that should be considered in the surface use agreements. She will also discuss the interplay between surface use agreements entered into between a surface owner and operator and Oil and Gas Operator agreements enter between oil operators and the local governments and other issues that might be of interest to surface owners and real estate developers.
