MVL Remote Power of Attorney Program
Training & Virtual Clinic

Assist Seniors in Need in Completing Much Needed Advance Planning Documents

Training Session: Thursday, March 11 at noon
Virtual Clinic: Tuesday, March 23 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Calling all DBA YLD members and law students interested in an opportunity to serve those in need while networking!

Seniors who qualify for Metro Volunteer Lawyers' services need our help now more than ever. In order to help meet that need, MVL is partnering with the YLD to offer a virtual Power of Attorney Clinic, serving low-income seniors at residential facilities in Denver. You can volunteer in the comfort of your own home or office!

A comprehensive training video will be shown regarding the following advance planning documents:
  • medical power of attorney,
  • financial/general durable power of attorney,
  • advance health care directive (living will), and
  • declaration of disposition of last remains.
MVL staff will also be available to answer your questions.

On March 23rd, at the virtual clinic, law students will be paired with volunteer attorneys to provide much needed services to seniors in need.
