“Covid-Era Policies Worth Keeping Long-Term in Denver Courts"

As every metro-Denver litigator knows, our courts have had to make major adjustments to the way they operate due to the unique public health and logistical challenges that Covid-19 has presented. Whether it is virtual hearings or conferences, delayed trial settings, socially-distanced trials, or an increased emphasis on collegiality and civility among attorneys in this challenging time, both judges and attorneys have had to modify their practice and habits at this unique time. As the light at the end of the Covid tunnel hopefully approaches, it is an appropriate time to discuss which policies and procedures are worth maintaining long-term and which should be abandoned. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to share your insights and experiences with both the Denver District Court bench and your fellow litigators. This online session will be led by Denver District Court Judges Hon. Christopher J. Baumann and Karen L. Brody. This presentation, like all of the Courtroom Chats, will occur in a causal “roundtable” format in which attendees are encouraged to ask questions and participate in a dialogue with the presenters.

Speakers:
Hon. Christopher J. Baumann, Denver District Court Judge
Hon. Karen L. Brody, Denver District Court Judge
