"RBG’s Footprint on Employment Law: Turning Systems of Oppression into Systems of Change"

Justice Ginsburg was known as a civil rights powerhouse both in legal practice and later through her opinions as a judge. At the Supreme Court, her impact in employment and labor law often came through the form of the dissent and her pragmatic approach of appealing to those in power. In her honor, we will be taking a deep dive into Justice Ginsburg’s contribution to labor and employment law with the help of a former Justice Ginsburg clerk. We will also take a moment to consider what the future of labor and employment law might look like on the Court in her absence.
