This presentation will look at Rule 16.2 from its beginnings 15 years ago through today. A complete review of the caselaw addressing the application of the Rule (including the new Supreme Court opinion on IRM Durie) and a summary of an informal survey done with judges and family law attorneys about the effectiveness of the Rule will be covered.
 
 
Speaker:
David M. Johnson, Johnson Kush PC- David M. Johnson is a family law attorney from Colorado Springs CO. Mr Johnson was a member of the subcommittee of the Standing Committee on Family Issues that drafted Rule 16.2. He is a former chair of the Colorado Bar Association Family Law Section; former President of the Colorado Bar Association and past winner of the ICON Award. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. His practice is now limited to mediation and arbitration.
