"The New FDII Rules: Incentives for Staying in the US"

Under the new rules for foreign-derived intangible income added by the 2017 tax act, domestic C corporations can significantly reduce their US income taxes on certain international sales and service transactions.
These rules provide an incentive for US businesses to keep their operations in the United States as opposed to offshoring.

Mark Hrenya and John Wilson will discuss the historical context of the FDII rules, their impact on structuring international operations, and selected technical aspects of the proposed FDII regulations.
