From Leasing to Buying: What SSF Attorneys Need to Know About Office Space

October 11 from Noon - 1:00 PM

This program is part of "The Practical Lawyer" Series for Solo & Small Firm Owners & Attorneys developed by Colorado W.O.L.F. and co-sponsored by the Solo Small-Firm Section of the Colorado Bar Association.

Designed especially for solo and small law firm owners, this one-hour session will explore the critical considerations related to leasing or buying office space and how to prepare for your search for professional premises, whether you're a first-time tenant, looking to lease different space, or have decided to invest in purchasing your own office space.

Presenter Liz Leder, attorney and commercial real estate broker, will cover how to determine the type of space that is right for you and your firm, how to decide whether leasing space on your own or through a co-working arrangement would best fit your needs and budget - or if you're ready to take the leap to real property ownership. Ms. Leder will cover the factors and considerations that should be weighed during the decision-making process, including the financials you'll need to get the space you want, and the stages of making that space your own, including design and build-out.

Materials: This speaker will provide presentation slides and handout materials, including outlines and checklists that may be used as firm management / office space guides.
