Trauma-Informed Practice

An Attorney Wellness Program!

Program Description:

Attorneys in many practice areas work with traumatized clients and individuals. Trauma-informed care, an educated understanding, identification, and sensitive response to the effects of trauma, has been a common practice in the mental health and social services communities for many years. Similarly, lawyers, as a helping profession, can benefit from training on the existence and impact of trauma.
This program will help you understand and recognize trauma, training you to respond and appropriately communicate with a person suffering from trauma. Additionally, you will learn about secondary trauma, vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue, and the tools you can use to prevent burnout. Overall, this program will give you strategies to improve client relationships, to better serve your clients and care for yourself.

An invaluable program! You will leave with concrete tips and tangible solutions that directly impact your professional practice and improve your personal satisfaction
