No matter your practice area, there may be a time when you encounter UCC financing statements, and significant irreversible consequences can result if you make a mistake with regard to a UCC financing statement. Thus, it is critical for lawyers of all types to have a basic understanding of UCC financing statements. Fortunately, this CLE is here to provide an introduction to UCC financing statements for lawyers from any practice area. This CLE will provide practical tips for preparing, filing, reviewing, amending and terminating UCC financing statements. This course will highlight common UCC financing statement mistakes that lawyers make and will identify issues you should consider when working with UCC financing statements. Real examples will be used to illustrate these mistakes and issues. While this CLE will be geared toward people without a background in secured transactions, it will also be a good review if you have a secured transactions background.
