2022 Colorado Legislative Update

During its 2022 session, the Colorado General Assembly considered 657 bills and enacted many laws of critical importance to municipalities and other local governments. This session will review key components of new state legislation and current citizen initiatives involving various subject matters relevant to local governments, including criminal justice and public safety, courts, employment, building codes and land use, taxation, liquor and marijuana licensing, and sunshine laws.

Robert Sheesley is General Counsel to the Colorado Municipal. Robert previously served as the City Attorney for Commerce City, Colorado, after several years in private practice in New Orleans, Louisiana and Jacksonville, Florida. A graduate of Loyola University New Orleans, Robert received his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law and his M.P.A. from the University of Colorado Denver.
