Inaugural Insurance Committee Presentation: Recent Colorado Developments in Insurance Coverage for Property Damage and Bad Faith

Join Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell partner Terence Ridley (LawWeek 2019 Top Litigator) and Shapiro Bieging Barber Otteson attorney Garth Gersten (Best Lawyers for Insurance) who will provide information, insights and perspectives from the insurer and policyholder side on recent developments you need to know about. Mr. Ridley's recent decision and verdict in Sunflower Condo. Assn. v. Auto-Owners Ins. Co., and a pending Colorado Supreme Court decision in Dakota II v. Owners Ins. Co. have changed how property damage claims should be presented and argued. At the same time, the Colorado Supreme Court, in the last year, has issued four major bad faith decisions dramatically affecting how insurers should be adjusting and paying claims. Mr. Ridley and Mr. Gersten will discuss Professionalism as it impacts how attorneys practice in the area of Insurance.
