Program Description:
 
Revocable trusts are a staple of the estate planner’s toolbox. This program will discuss the lifecycle of this commonly used tool, from creation, through the settlor’s life, and beyond the settlor’s death. The program will address the Colorado Uniform Trust Code (CUTC) and other relevant state and federal laws, and will also provide practical tips. Topics to be covered include:
 
- Features of a revocable trust
- Practical considerations with funding the trust
- Notice requirements
- Tax considerations
- Creditor claims
- Distributions during the settlor’s life and after death
- Trust termination
