Attention paralegals and attorneys with a foreign law degree: the landscape in Colorado has transformed! Now, subject to eligibility criteria and successful completion of the qualifying exam, you could become a Licensed Legal Paraprofessional! This enables you to establish your own practice, serve clients independently in select family law matters, and take charge of your professional journey.
But what are the considerations for you practicing on your own, or as the primary advisor for the client? This program is designed to cover the basic considerations for you. Esteemed judges, family law attorneys, and mediators will provide guidance as you navigate the transition from supporting role to lead.
Highlights include:
- Gain invaluable insights from LLP equivalents from Arizona, Utah, and Washington on crucial lessons they wish they had known at the outset.
- Engage in interactive sessions where speakers will present hypothetical scenarios following their lecture, allowing you to analyze and discuss them in small group settings under the guidance of seasoned family law practitioners.
- Gain the perspective of a variety of judges, attorneys, and mediators that you may encounter in your future cases.
- Learn about attending court from current and former judges with a family law docket!
Whether you're contemplating licensure or already engaged in the process, this program offers invaluable insights. Join us for an enriching and empowering experience that will propel your career forward.
Attorneys interested in learning more about family law practice and LLPs are invited to join us for the program as well.
