Speakers:
Martina Hinojosa- Martina is an attorney with Butler Snow LLP, where she represents government entities and underwriters in public finance and economic development matters. She served as Deputy Legal Counsel to Governor John Hickenlooper during the last year of his administration. In that role, she advised Governor Hickenlooper on a host of issues, including judicial appointments, policy matters, and proposed legislation.
 
Matt Gray- Matt is a State Representative and Chair of the House Transportation and Local Government Committee at the General Assembly. Matt is also a public finance attorney at Sherman and Howard and can generally be found chasing his five year old Ellie and/or three year old Theo. 
 
 
We will provide an overview of the legislative process, covering actions occurring before, during, and after the legislative session. We will also discuss the roles of legislative committees, staff, and advocates during the legislative process. Finally, we will discuss mechanisms for tracking proposed legislation.
