"Judicial Round Table on Maintenance and Child Support in 2022 "
Whether it is maintenance or child support, for temporary or permanent orders, practitioners are often left wondering what types of orders the judicial officer are going issue. While the guidelines for both child support and maintenance are extremely helpful and sometimes easy to apply, many times our case fact patterns do not lead to a simple guideline calculation. Income calculation considerations and issues, income imputation, income above and below the guidelines, child related expenses, modification of orders, and many other issues, cloud what our legislature hoped to be the simplicity of calculating support via the guidelines. Practitioners need and want to hear the thoughts and practice advice of the various presiding DR judicial officers.

On January 21, 2022, join the Family Law Section and our diverse judicial panel at the first monthly CLE luncheon (by Zoom) of the year. We will be discussing various support scenarios and will have an open forum for Q’s & A’s with our judicial panel, breaking down the difficulties and intricacies of maintenance and child support orders using today’s guidelines, other statutory considerations, and case law.

Panel:
District Court Judge - Andrew Baum – 18th JD
District Court Magistrate - Angela Boykins – 2nd JD
District Court Judge - Deborah Grohs – 4th JD
District Court Judge - Sean Finn – 17th JD
Moderated by Cynthia Ciancio, Esq.
Special thanks for Ret. Hon. Angela Arkin for assisting with putting together the round table!
