"Protection Orders and Restrict Motions: Practical Tips and Constitutional Implications"
Judge Patrick Butler (20th Judicial District) is presenting a dual seminar on civil protection orders and motions to restrict. The presentation will include helpful practice tips for members of the family law Bar as well as an analysis of some of the constitutional considerations related to the subject. If you’ve ever wondered why a judge can or cannot permanently restrain a parent from having contact with their biological child and what arguments might be most effective, or when a protection order is a better course of action than a motion to restrict, then this seminar is for you.
