Join us as we discuss recent trends in regulation for domestic relations lawyers, including common areas for complaints, tips for responding to ethics complaints, and suggestions for best practices. We will also discuss updates in the practice more generally, including updates to continuing legal education requirements.
 
 
Speaker:
April M. McMurrey- April M. McMurrey is Deputy Regulation Counsel for the intake division of the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel. Ms. McMurrey received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and her law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law. Ms. McMurrey joined the Office of Attorney Regulation in 2001 as a law clerk. She was later promoted to the trial division, where she worked for seven years as an Assistant Regulation Counsel. Ms. McMurrey then worked in the intake division as an Assistant Regulation Counsel before being promoted to Deputy. Ms. McMurrey is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association Ethics Committee, and the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility’s Continuing Legal Education Committee.
