Federal Student Loans During the Coronavirus
Co-sponsored by the Colorado Bar Association Young Lawyers Division

Highlights:

Learn about recent changes to federal student loan programs under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

Program Description:

In the U.S., there are 45 million borrowers (including many attorneys) who collectively owe nearly $1.6 trillion in student loan debt. That figure is staggering but understanding student loan programs don't have to be overwhelming.

In this free program, Jennifer Quinn, Director of Student Financial Management for DU's Sturm College of Law, will discuss the recent federal changes to student loan programs in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the federal CARES Act. This general information session will be useful for any attorney with federal student loans, and those advising clients who have federal loans.

Questions will be taken during the program or submit your question in advance to Brendan Baker, bbaker@cobar.org. Your presenter will cover as many questions as possible but cannot address specific personal loan questions. Be assured she will cover how to contact loan servicers to discuss these types of issues..
